School Fees

  1. The fee structure is as shown in the separate notice on the fee book for the relevant academic session / year. Fees will be received on all working weekdays between 8.30 a.m. & 12 noon from the 1st day till 25th of every calendar month. If 25th day falls on a holiday the same will be received on 26th day. Students of all classes can pay fees within the time limit at their respective buildings i.e. classes Nursery to V at Wesley Dept. & classes V to XII at the Main Building. It may occur at times, however, that the fees cannot be collected on a scheduled day due to exceptional and absolutely unavoid­able circumstances beyond the control of the School authori­ties. Parents/guardians will be expected to bear with the in­convenience.
  2. Fees will also be received on the 2nd Saturday of every month from 9.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m., unless the same is a gazetted holiday or falls within a vacation.
  3. The School fees cover twelve calendar months and may be paid in monthly amounts or in advance. No reduction in the School Fees will be made for vacations/ holidays/ non-instructional days declared by the School authorities, or for broken periods due to non-attendance of a student for whatsoever reason. Students are liable to be charged full fees as long as their names are officially on the School Rolls. Fees once paid will not be refunded.
  4. Fee Defaulters will be charged cumulatively Rs. 50/- for each month as late fee. After three consecutive months the name of a student who is a fee defaulter may be struck off the School Rolls. Re-admission may be granted at the discretion of the Principal and upon payment of Rs. 1000/ (Rupees one thousand only) as Re-admission Fees, as well as all other relevant fees payable including the cumulative monthly late fees and the Annual (Session) charges again. Those parents / guardians facing financial difficulty are re­quired to address a written application in advance to the Sec­retary through Principal to condone their inability to clear the relevant fees in time. Only if the same is granted in writing may the fees be paid after the due date, without fine, pro­vided the date within which all fees due for that student will definitely be stated in writing by the Parent / Guardian and the application in this regard approved by the Secretary.
  5. Every student must have all School Fees due cleared in advance before the commencement of the Terminal, and of the Annual (Final) Examination, fees for February and March must be cleared by 15th February, failing which they are li­able to be completely disallowed from appearing for the examination and are liable to have their names struck off the School Rolls.
  6. All dues must be paid before the academic session/year ends. Fees for February and   March must be paid by 15th Feb. 2008   
  7. The Management reserves the right to raise the School’s, tuition Fees and /or other    Fees at any time during the academic session, if the same is considered necessary. At least one clear calendar month’s notice will be, however, given.
  8.  School Fees must be paid in cash, or by A/c Payee cheque/ Bankers’ cheque / Bank Pay order / Draft in favour of “St. Stephen’s School, Dum Dum”. For an A/c Payee cheque or Banker’s Cheque / Bank Pay Order / Draft being submitted, the following should be clearly indicated on the reverse of the cheque / draft : Name of Student; Class; Section; Roll No; Months for which fees are being paid. Out station cheques / drafts will not be accepted. Arrear payments should be paid by cash only. A dishonored cheque or a bounced cheque / draft / pay order will be liable for a fine of Rs. 1000/- (Rupees one thousand only. ) 

    The first payment of fees of an academic year must be made either by Banker’s cheque, demand draft or Bank pay order, payable at Service Branch, Kolkata.

  9. The School will not be responsible for loss of fees by any student or parent /   guardian within the School premises or outside.
  10. Refund of caution money should be claimed within 3 months after the issue of Transfer Certificate or the Student’s leaving the school. After expiry of 3 months the caution money will be forfeited. Caution money will be refunded after one month of taking T.C or submitting application for the same which ever is later
